This IS The Movement

I speak to you today as a man moved by the American heart and spirit of freedom. Although you may not agree with everything I say and or believe, know this, that I stand and fight for every single one of you. The Fear of our lively hoods has caused us to forget who we are. We are Being held hostage by giant corporations that destroy small business and push low wages. We have been taken hostage by career politicians that do nothing but bicker about which rich man or which rich corporation will get the best deal. We have been taken hostage by a media that glorifies the bad and ignores the good. A media that cares more about celebrities and reality TV shows rather then the state of our nation. Cable News has become a race for the most divisive argument as we the American people are forced into poverty more and more everyday. Our Government gives tax breaks to corporations that take our jobs overseas and even to our neighbors in Mexico and yet we sit idle. We allow them to run our lives beat us down and crush the very weakest of our nation. It is not the Government you should fear for They Will Fear Us. It is the Money and greed from Multi-national Companies buying our Law Makers and writing laws with so called Non-profit Organizations such as ALEC. They divide us with debates on religion, sexual preference and the right to choose. I say these next things whether you agree or disagree because these issues must be solved. This is America they have no right to decide for us. The LGBT community is pegged as immoral and against religious teachings. You have your beliefs it is not our governments Right to decide what sexual preference between adults is right or wrong. Whether you support LGBT or not you have no right to take their right to happiness and a better life. The Government can not tell a women whether she can or can not choose that is not their job. It is the right of the women like it or not, Religious belief has no place within this choice. For I am not a women so I dare not judge for judgment without understanding is damnation for both the judged and judger. The African-American community can no longer be held down by the color of their skin for they are the same as any other human being on this planet. There is no such thing as differing races for we are all Humans and hold the same blood, sweat and tears for better or worse we are all brothers and sisters of this world. We can no longer demonize the Hispanic community for wanting to better their lives by trying to run away from a corrupt government run by drug traffickers and murders. We can no longer demonize the Muslims and their religion for the crimes of the few. We are one people and the real enemy has divided us. We must put aside our petty differences and see that our brothers and sisters are being held down. That We are being held down. The enemy is greed and must be put in its place. I don’t ask for peace, although I do hope and dream that one day we will have it, what I ask for is civility, to know that the man, women or child beside you is a human being and bleeds like you, cries like you, feels pain, happiness and anger like you. That we must stand against those with tyrannical ambitions to control the down trodden and take from us what we hold most dear. Our arguments divide us for the benefit of the few. We will not always see eye to eye but we all want the same thing. Freedom to be who we are. Freedom from persecution for being different. Freedom to have the American Dream. That Dream to be able to have a family and not struggle. That dream to be able to enjoy your life instead of slaving away like we are peasants. I am not a peasant. Are you an American or are you a peasant? We can no longer just be considered a number when it comes to our health and our strive for financial independence. We demand that these Corporations pay their taxes and pay their fair share. Our constitution was written for these freedoms but failed to acknowledge the truth in the statements made. That all Humans Man, Women and child are equal in their right to strive for happiness and the betterment of their lives. That our government and our corporations shall never again have the power to hold us down. Our constitution is a living document and is every changing and evolving with it's people, this living document was built to protect us, the citizens of the United States of America from government and corporation alike. We make the rules and if that means changing it then that is what must be done. I propose that today we Re-declare our constitution as the right of the people not within a republic but within a true democracy run by the people for the people and not by the few. We are the movement, This is our moment. The time for Idleness and hope for change has Become a booming echo for action from Wisconsin to California, From New York to Florida, From East and West and South and North. We can no longer let those who would deny us the basic freedoms of Liberty crush us under their Corporate controlled Boots of Plutocracy and Unchecked Capitalism. We are America, We are the Voice, We Will Not be silenced.”

You tell 'em!
Don't be nervous and you won't because you will know this speech well, work with it, smooth it out, in put out put, etc. You will change words, but I hope not your speech, and at the end of the summer this speech will be a breese. Good speech
Warren:
That may be what many on the Right want to happen.
One need only look to Germany and Italy after World War 1 to see what an economic collapse can lead to.
Warren:
They want us to sit so things reach a breaking point, then they (as in corps) can put in a 'Strongman'.

If the American train goes off the track, Corporations and those with gold rule, and make rules. Is that what you are saying? If so I agree.
Junko:
Sorta.
It seems to me that one trait of fascism is a too close relation between commerce and government.
I'll let Werren speak for himself
Good hub and good points. America seems to have forgotten the principles that made this nation what it is today. Hope that your speech moves some to act and make changes that brings us back to our former greatness. Good luck
Great hub! Your words match my thinking, I don't know what it's going to take for corporations to value people more than profits. Trouble is in the air though, I think things are coming to a boiling point that won't be pretty, people can only take so much.

Awesome Hub Warren. I agree with all of your points. My hope is that a movement has been started after the Wisconsin collective bargaining rights repeal fiasco. That has exposed a direct attack on American workers. Corporate America and the Republicans are in bed together with this one. It must end. Your points on a woman's right to choose and the rights of blacks are spot on also. The progressive Left needs to step up big time and get active against the insidious multi-tailed wings of the Far Right.
